    I don’t get why people bash that bear looking dude about how low he goes, I was taught to never break the plank when doing workouts like that.     All the incline bench in my size program has really increased my strength and size in the upper chest. I got 155lbs for 2 reps of incline bench today after already doing a 10x10 on incline and max pushups finisher. I used to struggle with 135lbs on incline and the 155 didn't even feel like failure I could likely get a rep fresh with 170 to 175 which is almost up to what I flat bench!

    Definitely the shoulder injury. I've got similar injuries, and going full range of motion at high volume (or lifting heavy, as he says in the video) is just asking to end up back on rehab workouts for months instead of building (especially if you're hypermobile like me and your ligaments and cartilage are basically made out of tissue paper). Shorter range of motion can still do the job just fine, without straining the joints. I mean...look at the guy. The results speak for themselves.

    I like that cable chest fly immediately to incline pushups to failure, my trainer had me do that recently and it'll really burn out your pecs. It's taken me about 6 months but I think I'm finally getting down how to do chest workouts, particularly the presses. It was just recently that I learned how to put my shoulders back and down from Chris Jones/PumpChasers. I've heard "pull back and down" but it didn't click until his demo of shrugging up, rolling shoulders back, and then pulling them down.

    I've really struggled with getting my pecs to drive movements. It's really easy for my shoulders to do so, and in addition I have a habit of shrugging up my shoulders for no reason. I'll be sitting in a chair watching TV and notice my shoulders are shrugged up, like I'm tense or coiled up or something. I'm not but it's annoying for sure. But if you shrug up your shoulders and then stick out your arm to the side and then bring it forward pointing in front of you, like doing a fly, you'll see how you can't really contract your pec. That really showed me how much it matters (I was doing pushups with my showers shrugged without realizing it).

    Yaaass Nick with the no thumbs grip for bench! I’ve just switched to this grip recently and it’s made a huge difference! Wrists feel better! Shoulders feel better! And just feels more natural. Great video Scott 👍🏼

    Well. I always advocate Full Rom. But at the end of the day is up to you guys to decide what works best for you. Nick has had some joint issues in the past and this helps him. - Personally I would still go full rom. But thats me 💪🏻

    @ScottHermanFitness do you notice that your body responds better with a traditional bodypart split? I tried high frequency training but only got smaller. Its strange because science says otherwise.
